Mengungkapkan makna dalam teks monolog/esei yang menggunakan ragam bahasa tulis secara akurat, lancar dan berterima dalam teks berbentuk: narrative.
9.      Tujuan Pembelajaran   :
Siswa dapat menulis teks narrative pendek.
10.  Indikator                     :
1)      Menggunakan pola kalimat simple past tense dengan tepat.
2)      Menghasilkan teks berbentuk narrative.

11.  Materi Pembelajaran               :

The Legend of Kesodo Feast
Hundreds years ago, the last king of Majapahit had a young princess from one of his wives. The princess was named Roro Anteng. Later, Roro Anteng married Joko Seger, who came from Brahman caste.
Because of unfortunate situation the couple was forced to leave the kingdom. They settled in the mountain area. They ruled the area and named it Tengger, which was derived from their names, Roro Anteng and Joko Seger.
After several years of reign, the region flourished in prosperity, but Roro Anteng and Joko Seger were sad because they did not have a child. They climbed the top of mountain and prayed there night and day hoping that the God would listen. The prayer was heard and Betoro Bromo promised them many children. However, they had to promise that they would sacrifice their youngest child in return.
Roro Anteng gave birth to a child, then another and another. In the end, Roro Anteng and Joko Seger had 25 children. Soon it was time to sacrifice the youngest child, Kusuma, but the parents could not do it. They tried to hide him, but an eruption happened and Kusuma fell into the crater. There was silence before they heard a voice. “I have to be sacrificed so that you will all stay alive. From now on, you should arrange an annual offering ceremony on the 14th of Kesodo (the twelfth month of Tengerese calendar)”. It was Kusuma’s voice. Kusuma’s brothers and sisters held the offering ceremony every year. Instead of human being, they collected fruits, vegetables, rice, and meat to be offered to the Gods. And this has been done generation after generation until today.

The Legend of Lake Toba
There was a fisherman who (1) lives/ lived in Batak Land. His name was Batara Guru Sahala. When he was angling, he (2) caught/ catches a fish. He was surprised to find that fish because the fish could talk and it (3) beg /begged to set it free. He did accordingly.
   After getting free, the fish (4) changed/changes into a beautiful woman and Sahala fell in love with her. Sahala asked her to marry him and the woman received him.  However, she asked his promised not to tell anyone secret that she was once a fish. They (5) was/were very happily married, and got two daughters.
            It was a pity on Sahala. One day when he got very angry with his daughters, he (6) forgoten/ forgot his promise and he (7) breaks/ broke it. He told his daughters that they were the daughters of a fish.
            His wife could not (8) forgiving/ forgive him. Suddenly, the earth began to shake and volcanoes started to erupt. The earth (9) cracked/cracks and formed a big hole. People said that the hole (10) become/ became Lake Toba.

1.         Opening
·         Salam pembuka dan doa bersama.
·         Cek kehadiran siswa
·         Cek kesiapan siswa
·         Guru mendiskusikan pelajaran sebelumnya dan menghubungkan ke pelajaran hari ini (ciri-ciri teks narrative).
·         Siswa diminta membaca contoh teks narrative lain untuk mengingatkan.
2.         Kegiatan Inti  (Pertemuan 2)
Joint  Construction of Text
·         Siswa mengerjakan task 1.
·         Dalam kelompok, siswa memilih cerita rakyat yang tersedia untuk didiskusikan.
·         Dalam kelompok siswa diminta untuk mendiskusikan plot atau alur cerita kisah cerita rakyat yang akan disampaikan .
·         Setiap kelompok mempresentasikan hasil diskusi dikelompoknya.

      Independent Construction of Text
·         Siswa menulis sebuah teks narrative yang berhubungan dengan cerita rakyat di daerah mereka masing-masing.
·         Siswa menulis draft teks terlebih dahulu.
·         Siswa melakukan revisi atas draft  tersebut.
·         Siswa mengembangkan draft teks yang telah dibuat agar menjadi sebuah teks narrative yang utuh ( jika belum selesai,dijadikan pekerjaan  rumah).
3.         Wrap up
·             Bersama siswa, guru memberikan pengulangan pada bagian yang  penting dan membuat kesimpulan.
4.         Evaluation
·                Guru meminta siswa mengumpulkan hasil kerja kelompok.
5.         Closing
1.             Guru memberitahukan pertemuan selanjutnya siswa akan mempelajari jenis teks yang lain.
2.             Doa penutup dan salam.

16.  Assesment                  :

1)      Partisipasi dalam mengerjakan task 1.
2)      Presentasi tugas kelompok.
3)      Tugas tertulis individu.
